Welcome to Brisbane Yoga Therapy!

I'm Genevieve, the heart behind this space, and I’m delighted to share a bit about my journey and what we represent. My mission is simple yet powerful to make the practice of yoga and meditation accessible to all abilities and levels. I meet you where you are, providing a compassionate and supportive environment where you can explore, grow, and thrive.

I have been practicing yoga for over 20 years, a journey that has not only shaped who I am but nurtured my understanding the truth that body, mind, and spirit are not separate, but one. In yoga, this is samatva — our natural state of balance, harmony, and inner steadiness. Today, I am proud to be a certified Level 3 Senior Yoga Teacher as well as a Yoga and Meditation Therapist — qualifications that reflect both my dedication and the depth of experience I bring to each session.

My training spans Power Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Kids Yoga, and Yoga & Meditation Therapy. I have also explored trauma-informed teaching, yoga for pain management, gut health, the food–mood connection, and yoga for relationships, among other areas.

Yoga has been a transformative force in my life, guiding my perspectives, my daily practices, and the way I connect with others. Beyond the mat, my journey includes a love for movement in many forms: from my early years playing ice hockey to coaching gymnastics for 15 years, practicing martial arts, golfing, and enjoying gym workouts.

Becoming a mum to my incredible twin girls, one with Down syndrome, has given my practice even greater purpose. Our family adventures, from camping trips to travel, fill my heart and remind me of the importance of joy, connection, and adaptability. This personal journey fuels my commitment to making yoga accessible and meaningful for people of all abilities.

We offer a variety of services, including private yoga therapy sessions, group classes, workshops, and retreats. Additionally, if you're an NDIS participant, we can assist you with incorporating Yoga and Meditation Therapy sessions into your NDIS package. We are dedicated to providing a nurturing environment where every client can embark on a journey towards improved strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination, as well as reduced stress, anxiety, and depression. Our aim is to help you achieve your health and wellness goals while enhancing your overall wellbeing.
